How we collect, use, share and retain personal information — for clients, candidates and website visitors.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to personal information Stature ("Stature," "we," "us") collects through staturestrategy.com and in the course of providing executive search, staffing and advisory services. It covers three groups of people: representatives of client and prospective client companies, candidates and professionals who engage with us about work, and visitors to this website.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form, email us, or speak with us, we collect what you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, employer, job title, and the substance of your inquiry. Candidates also commonly provide work history, education, credentials, compensation expectations, references, geographic preferences, and a résumé or LinkedIn profile.

Information we collect from third parties. For candidates, we may collect information from professional networking sites, public sources, and referrals from people in our network. With your written authorization and only at the appropriate stage of a client engagement, we may obtain reference, background, credential or employment-eligibility information.

Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, we and our analytics provider collect standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time on page.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this website is not directed to children.

3. How we use information

To respond to inquiries and provide the services you or your company engaged us for.
To evaluate candidates for current and future search, interim and contract opportunities.
To present qualified candidates to clients, with the candidate's permission for that specific opportunity.
To administer payroll, employment taxes, workers' compensation coverage and employment-eligibility verification for contract employees on Stature's payroll.
To send occasional insights or firm updates to people who have asked to receive them.
To operate, secure, measure and improve this website.
To comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use candidate or client information for third-party advertising.

We share personal information only in these circumstances:

With clients. Candidate information is shared with a client only after the candidate has consented to be presented for that specific opportunity.
With service providers. Providers who host this website, deliver email, process form submissions, provide analytics, administer payroll and benefits, and conduct authorized background or credential checks. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
For legal reasons. Where required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Stature, our clients, our candidates or others.
In a business transaction. If Stature is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

5. Candidate information and retention

Candidate privacy deserves specific commitments, so here they are plainly:

Consent before submission. We do not send your résumé, compensation details or contact information to a client without your permission for that specific opportunity. We do not contact your references until you tell us it is time.
Confidentiality with your current employer. We do not disclose to your employer that you have spoken with us.
Retention period. We retain candidate information for up to three years from your most recent contact with us so that we can reach you about relevant future roles. After that period it is deleted unless you ask us to keep it current, or unless we are legally required to retain it.
Records we must keep longer. For contract employees placed on Stature's payroll, payroll, tax and employment-eligibility records are retained for the periods required by applicable federal and state law.
Background and credential checks. Conducted only with your written authorization and only when a client engagement has reached that stage. You receive the disclosures required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law before any consumer report is requested.
No candidate fees. Stature is compensated by hiring companies. We never charge candidates a fee, and we never condition consideration on the purchase of any service.
Deletion on request. Email hello@staturetalent.com and we will delete your information, subject only to records we are legally required to retain.

6. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect information such as pages viewed, session duration, approximate geographic region, and the referring source. We use this in aggregate to improve the site; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The site works normally either way. We honor Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals where our providers support them.

7. Your choices and rights

You may at any time ask us to:

provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
delete your information, subject to records we must legally retain;
stop sending you marketing or insights email — every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also simply reply and ask.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what information we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, email hello@staturetalent.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission of this website and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or financial account details by unencrypted email.

9. Other terms

Third-party links. This site links to third-party sites, including LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

Location of processing. Stature operates in the United States and processes information here. If you contact us from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.

Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
